From underground Portland, Oregon nightspots in the mid 80s to the flourishing club scene in Seoul, South Korea today, I've been an avid fan of electronic music in its many incarnations over the years.
Residing in Asia for the better part of two decades now, I've had the good fortune of playing at clubs and events in Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea.
My current focus is on deep house, nudisco, minimal/tech house, the deeper and darker shades of techno, and progressive house. Downtempo, dark ambient, modern classical, and jazz are additional favorites. Watch this space for (monthly or more) mixes that showcase these genres.
As of August 2013, there are 29 episodes in the "Explorations" series dating back to 2009. Check my Soundcloud page (http://soundcloud.com/smiths) for the other mixes not listed here, ten of which have been featured on Proton Radio's "Bedroom Bedlam" show.
Many thanks for your support :) Enjoy!
